WISTEM 2024 - 2025 Application

Thank you for applying for the eighth annual Women's Inclusion to Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (WISTEM) program!

The HMC WISTEM program is intended for students who are high school juniors (or equivalent), who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents (who live within the United States), and are committed to the inclusion of women in STEM. Invited WISTEM participants will receive a fee waiver for their 2025 first-year application to HMC.

The WISTEM Application requires all of the following. Given that you are unable to save your progress on this form, we suggest you gather these materials before you begin filling out the WISTEM application.

Unofficial transcript/report card reflecting 9th grade-present (screenshots from electronic grade book, scanned copies of report cards/progress reports, etc.). We understand that junior grades for Fall 2024 might not be ready. However, please submit a progress report or quarter grades. Junior year grades are required in order for your application to be considered complete.

Application Documents

Final Details

WISTEM is a 6-month program that requires participants to engage with an on-campus residential component and online sessions. The residential component will take place from February 16 to February 18. Please note, the Office of Admission will help with travel arrangements. All travel costs will be covered by our office. The virtual component of WISTEM consists of monthly online sessions where the WISTEM cohort will continue to learn and collaborate.

Asynchronous components:
Throughout the duration of the program, you will be asked to continue to participate on Discord, schedule a one-on-one meeting to take place during Summer 2025, and complete an admission interview.
