WISTEM 2023 Application

Thank you for applying for the seventh annual Women's Inclusion to Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (WISTEM) program! 

The HMC WISTEM program is intended for students who are high school juniors (or equivalent), who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents (who live within the United States), whose current school is located in the west coast and southwest of the United States,  and are committed to the inclusion of women in STEM. Invited WISTEM participants will receive a fee waiver for their 2024 first-year application to HMC. 

*This year, WISTEM will be limited to applicants who are attending schools located in the west coast and southwest of the United States. If your school is located outside of the identified areas, then we ask that you do not submit an application (your application will not be considered).

The WISTEM 2023 Application requires all of the following. Given that you are unable to save your progress on this form, we suggest you gather these materials before you begin filling out the WISTEM application.

1. Essay (prompt available in the Essay section below)
2. Unofficial transcript/report card reflecting 9th grade-present (screenshots from electronic grade book, scanned copies of report cards/progress reports, etc.). We understand that junior grades for Fall 2022 might not be ready. However, please submit a progress report or quarter grades. Junior year grades are required in order for your application to be considered complete.
3. Upload a resume OR list your extracurricular activities, honors, jobs, etc below. Here you can learn tips on how to write a resume from Harvey Mudd College students. 

Use the widgets in the Application Documents section below to upload your transcript and resume to your application. Please do NOT send these materials via email, fax, or regular mail, as we will be unable to pair them with your application.

All application materials are due by January 11, 2023 at 11:59 PM PT. We are unable to accept materials past the deadline.
